Medical, dental and vision
We want our employees and their families to thrive and having access to quality and affordable health care is one of our most valued benefits. Our medical, dental and vision plans provide company-paid basic coverage for qualified employees.
We offer two primary medical plan options. Both are high-deductible health plans that use a preferred network of providers (out-of-network benefits are available).
To help employees save and pay for their health (and dependent care) expenses, we offer both a Health Savings Account (HSA) and a Flexible Spending Account (FSA). A second FSA is available for dependent care expenses, such as day care and nursing home care.
We also provide two dental plans: one for basic and preventive care services, and a more comprehensive option for complex needs. We also provide employees with a vision plan.
Vacation and holidays
It’s important to recharge so we are among a small group of companies that proudly offers three weeks of vacation for newly hired employees and up to five weeks of vacation for our employees who have a significantly lengthy tenure here. In addition, we provide six paid holidays per year, plus a winter shutdown in select facilities.
Our competitive total compensation package includes both cash compensation and flexible benefit choices. We offer a base pay that is competitive, and we conduct market-based surveys on a regular basis to ensure our pay is consistent with other companies in all the countries where we do business.
We also provide performance-driven incentives to recognize contributions to the company’s success, including:
- An annual bonus program for eligible employees

Saving for the future
It is important to prepare for the future so we offer a comprehensive retirement savings program. As an employee contributes to the plan, Rockwell Collins provides a matching contribution up to a certain percentage of the employee’s contribution. We also make an automatic contribution to the savings plan for all eligible employees. Employees can choose from a variety of investment funds and can contribute up to 50 percent of their pay.
We also offer an Employee Stock Purchase Plan, in which you can purchase our stock at a discount and without any fees. Finally, we offer investment and retirement planning workshops and independent financial planning services to help you make the most of your savings and retirement choices.
In our U.S. locations, we offer a number of voluntary services – at competitive group rates and with the convenience of regular payroll deductions – to help employees juggle competing priorities at home and at work:

Our comprehensive well-being program gives employees and their family members the tools, resources and support they need to maintain or improve every aspect of their lives: financial, social, physical, community and career. The program encourages participants to assess their health, make smart choices, get involved in their communities and seek balance in their lives. If you take part in our well-being program, we directly deposit an incentive into your HSA. We also provide free counseling services through a third-party Employee Assistance Program (EAP).
