Job Summary

This position is responsible for managing a department of Cedar Rapids-based accountants specializing in the functions of fixed asset accounting, general ledger reconciliation, and cash application. This organization provides support for the Avionics, Mission Systems, and Interiors segments of Collins Aerospace. This role will work closely with the Central Accounting Services organization at UTC Corporate, as well as, locally with auditors, Tax, Treasury, and other accounting functions.

Job Responsibilities

Applicants must have strong leadership skills, knowledge of the Collins Aerospace business, and proven analytical skills. The ability to make decisions and take ideas from a high-level concept to a practical, executable business process is required. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, as well as, a highly analytical approach to investigation and interpretation of financial data. The ideal candidate will have a proven ability to work with people at nearly all levels in the organization, with excellent verbal, and written communication skills.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in appropriate discipline or in the absence of a degree six years of related experience
  • Proven leadership skills
  • Collins Aerospace finance process experience preferred
  • CPA or MBA preferred
