The Business Development Manager will serve as a leader on the capture team during all capture activities. These include opportunity identification opportunity qualification competitive assessment price to win development opportunity strategy development and proposal development. Daily activities will include customer relationship building building and executing contact plans advising the organization on fighter and trainer CONOPS working on a team to develop solutions to highly complex customer problems developing pursuit strategies and providing accurate and timely orders forecasting. The Principal Business Development Manager will identify and shape customer requirements present accurate market assessments and develop long term growth strategies for fighters and trainers. The Manager will also serve as prime consultant and spokesperson on policies programs capabilities and long-range goals and objectives relating to fighter and trainer platforms. The position will also be responsible for cultivating relationships with industry partners and recommending alliances teaming relationships and acquisitions. The primary measurement of a successful Business Development Manager will be increased orders and sales. Top candidates will have prior recent experience with fighter and trainer aircraft and specifically the F-35 including the DoD Joint Program Office or OEM level. A knowledge of future fighter and trainer aircraft requirements is highly desired. A detailed understanding of fighter and trainer platforms and acquisition policies is highly desired. Understanding of the U.S Navy and/or U.S Air Force requirements process and DoD budget process is required. Prior recent experience with U.S. Fighter and trainer OEMs is also highly desired. The ideal candidate will already possess a SECRET or TOP SECRET U.S. DoD clearance. Ability to obtain a U.S. DoD security clearance is required.
